Ever crave Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough? So much so that you’re tempted to bake up some chocolate chip cookies just to eat the dough? I’m guilty of this. I absolutely love raw chocolate chip cookie dough. Especially with mini-chocolate chips. This is why I just had to create this Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough recipe.
Now... it's not actually cookie dough. It's not meant to be baked into cookies. It's meant to be eaten...like you would raw cookie dough! This is a quick and easy whipped dessert you can create when the craving strikes.
When we started eating a ketogenic diet to improve our overall health and support our microbiome-- my husband and I both initially had a lot of despair over not being able to eat things like cookies and cookie dough. After doing some experimenting in the kitchen, I quickly realized that this was not going to be the case.
I wanted this recipe to be more than just another low carb recipe. It needed to easy and quick to whip up when a craving struck. (although, i have to admit, the lack of cravings is kind of….well…. Crazy. But, that’s a story for another post!)
The Sweeteners in Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
I experimented with different sweeteners. Many of them resulted in a grainy taste and i just couldn’t get that brown sugar flavor to pop.
The taste-test winner?
A old-fashioned ingredient called molasses. Maybe it isn't old fashioned–but when I think about molasses my mind goes to recipes handed down over generations.
Anyhow…It’s important to use the right kind of molasses and not the processed stuff you’ll find at the local market. I’ve linked to the correct molasses at the bottom of this post and in the recipe. You want to use unsulphured blackstrap molasses. I order this online.
My taste testers are kind of sad that I’ve finished this keto recipe. However, they won’t be disappointed for long because I have a lot of yummy recipe ideas!
Ingredients for Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Here's a few ingredients you'll need to make this keto chocolate chip cookie dough.
- 85% Dark Chocolate Bar for topping
- Pure Vanilla Extract (watch out for hidden sugars in extracts!)
- Monk Fruit Sweetener
- Bocha Sweet
- Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses
- NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia
- SweetLeaf Vanilla Stevia

Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (2 Carb)
Ingredients
- 2 Blocks Cream Cheese 8 oz
- 1 Stick butter
- 1 Tbsp Organic Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses
- 1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 20 Drops Vanilla Stevia Drops
- Pinch Salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 2 Oz Dark Chocolate or Keto Chocolate
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with your mixer until combined. Then whip on high speed for 2-3 minutes until light & fluffy.
- Spoon ⅛th of the recipe into a serving dish.
- Chop up about .25 ounces of 70% (or darker) chocolate and mix into dessert.
- Enjoy!
