Cheating on the keto diet [3:46]
Don’t beat yourself up. We’ve all been down that road before. Whether planned or unplanned, cheating on a keto diet and getting back is something that everyone had to struggle with. One question remains: How do you get back on track?
On this episode, we highlight the importance of PLANNING as the first step to avoid the same pitfall all over again. Most importantly, OWNING that cheating is a decision you are consciously making will make a whole lot of difference and being mindful about ‘moments between moments’.
What’s the fastest way to lose regained weight? [15:58]
The fastest way to lose regained weight is to START AGAIN. When? NOW. You have to forgive and free yourself from the negative self-talks and self-sabotaging must come to a full stop. You have to start learning healthy habits to create a good foundation on your diet.
This is the best time to re-plan and re-think why you are doing the keto diet in the first place.
Always remember that true confidence comes from believing in your ability to figure anything out.
You have done it before. There’s no excuse you can’t do it now.
Is Sugar Free Candy okay on keto? [24:15]
This is a mistake we made when we were just starting off. Don’t commit the same mistake.
The short answer is NO.
Maltitol is a sugar alcohol that is an ingredient that you’ll find in most sugar-free candies. Excessive consumption of such may cause digestive discomfort. It also has a fairly high Glycemic Index that’s going to kick you out of ketosis.
Misleading Keto Macros [51:45]
Always check the label. Dig deeper on the ingredients list when the product says ‘keto-friendly- or ‘low-carb’. Most of the time, these are just marketing terms used to entice consumers.
