Chocolate Chip Snack Bars

These homemade granola bars-like snack bars are delicious, nutritious and definitely work the extra time they take to make. They are the perfect snack for both you and your kids!

  • 1 scoop Young Living Chocolate Pure Protein Complete
  • 1.5 tbsp Cacao Powder
  • 1⁄4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 – 1/3 cup Water (approximate)

The cookie dough layer


  • Line a bread pan with parchment paper and set aside. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients for the bottom chocolate layer with just enough water to make a thick batter. Spread this over your parchment paper in a large rectangular shape.
  • Gather all ingredients for next step as you’ll need to work quickly.
  • In a small saucepan, heat honey over medium heat until boiling (be sure to constantly stir while the mixture is heating). Remove from heat and quickly add your sunflower seed butter and vanilla protein. Stir until mixture is well combined, then pour over your parchment paper. Spread mixture out on top of your chocolate layer and sprinkle walnuts and chocolate chips on top. Fold over the parchment paper and press the nuts & chocolate chips into the bar mixture.
  • Place in freezer for approximately 2 hours or until hardened. Remove and cut into 10 bars using a heavy duty knife such as a chef or butcher knife. Repackage in parchment paper or sealed container and store in freezer for up to a week.


For a minty flavor add 4 - ­5 drops of Young Living Vitality Peppermint oil to the chocolate layer.
