My husband was not going to eat keto with me. I looked him in the eye and said “I’m not asking you to. In fact, I don’t want you to do keto. But, could you do something to help me?”... (he said yes)...”Could you support me and help me through this... don’t eat my favorite foods in front of me, don’t bring home sweets, just help me stick to this for 30 days?”.
Then, I explained why I wanted to do Keto and what I hoped to get out of it. I went into detail in to how me getting my health back could change our lives and improve our relationship.
In the past, we had sabotaged each other’s efforts. We were afraid of the other person changing and growing away from us.
Through this conversation… I got him invested in my results. My success was now about our future. A few hours later he had many ideas and had even read a few parts of some books I had lying around about the keto diet.

Some experts are clinical practitioners who use keto to improve patient health. These experts often are more liberal with macros.
Then there are experts who work with people who have Parkinson’s, Alzheimers and other degenerative disease. They are often very strict with macros because the keto diet needs to be therapeutic.
Still other experts are only focused only on weight loss.
