What Electrolytes Can Do For You On A Ketogenic Diet
Prevent Muscle Cramps
Muscle cramps are a common complaint when eating a high fat ketogenic diet. These may become especially prevalent during and after workouts due to magnesium and potassium depletion.
Prevent Keto Flu Symptoms
In “The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living”, it is recommended we add 2-3 grams of salt (sodium) to our diet daily. This is especially important if you workout or are in a hot climate. An electrolyte drink is a clean and easy way to work towards this goal.
Fatigue
This is why I developed this quick DIY electrolyte drink which I drink daily to support my ketogenic diet.
